MyActivityMatch.com™ does not feel “free-entry” user names are appropriate for its service and thus assign you with a user name based on your first name and the first initial of your last name. This will provide a certain degree of transparency/trust between users and yet protect your privacy. Although MyActivityMatch.com™ allows you to communicate with other members, your personal email address will never be revealed to other members. You stay in total control at all times and can say as much or as little as you want about you over your email conversations to other members. Remember that you can only contact other members if they posted an availability. With MyActivityMatch.com™ you only contact people that expressed the desire to be contacted. That works for you too. ........................................... 4. How can I suggest you to add a sport/activity? When adding a new location to the MyActivityMatch page or adding/deleting sports/activities to an existing location, you have an opportunity to suggest us sport/activity you are interested in and could not find among our list. Simply enter it in the field specifically designed for this usage and click on the “Submit” button. We will review your submissions on a regular basis and add the most popular ones. You can also click on the Home page menu while signed-in and submit your suggestions from My Home page too. If you have opted to received correspondence from us, you will be notified by email when new sports/activities are being added to the site. ........................................... 5. How can I increase the number of ActivityMatch? The number of “ActivityMatch” (members that have posted availability for the selected sport/activity over the coming week) are based on your search criteria and ultimately on how many people are using our service. Increasing the search radius and not limiting your search to specific criteria such as industry, position, genre, age group, etc should significantly improve the number of “ActivityMatch” found for your specific area and sport/activity. If you can not find anybody in your area for this activity, let your friends know about our service and/or help us spread the word among people at your favorite club/venue by distributing and posting our “flyer” anywhere appropriate. The more people join us and post availabilities, the more likely you will be to connect with people in your area and “Do what your want...when you want it”. Remember that we are a young company and just started to offer our service so it may take a little while before enough people know about us in your area. Do not hesitate to check back often as new members are joining us every day and/or make sure to post your availabilities so people can contact you. ........................................... 6. How do I add a new location in MyActivityMatch page? Once you Sign-In, you will automatically be directed to the MyActivityMatch page. There, click on the Add New Location menu next to My Locations menu. This will take you through an easy 2 steps process and ultimately allow you to add a new location. This location will be defined by your Zip Code, the sports/activities you are usually practicing at (or nearby) this location and your respective skill level for each of these sports/activities. Click Done when finished editing the details of this location and you wish to save your changes. ........................................... 7. How do I edit a location in the MyActivityMatch page? Once you Sign-In, you will automatically be directed to MyActivityMatch page. There, click on the “Edit” button next to your location name tab. This will allow you to modify and save any details about this existing location. ........................................... 8. How do I remove an existing location from the MyActivityMatch page? Once you Sign-In, you will automatically be directed to the MyActivityMatch page. There, click on the “X” button next to your location name tab. This will prompt a message asking you if you are sure you want to delete this location. If you click Yes, this location will automatically be removed. If you had any open availabilities posted at this location, they will automatically be removed and other parties that might have contacted you for those availabilities will be notified. ........................................... 9. How do I edit/update My Profile? Once you Sign-In, click on My Account menu. By default you will be located on the My Profile page and will be able to modify each of your details. Once you are satisfied with your changes, click on the Save button. This will validate your changes and save them. A notification email will automatically be sent to you with your new details. ........................................... 10. How do I change my email address? We do not recommend that you change your email address but if you have to, Sign-In, click on My Account menu and select the Change Email menu. You will be offered to replace your current email address with a new one. Upon clicking on the “Save” button, your new email will be saved and notification emails will automatically be sent to your old and new email addresses. Please open the message we sent to your new email address and click on the provided link to verify your new user ID. If you do not verify your new email account you will not be able to Sign-In. ........................................... 11. How can I retrieve my password? If you have forgotten your password, simply click on our Forgot Password link in our Sign-In module on the home page. Enter your email address and click Send. We will automatically reset your existing password and send you a temporary one via e-mail. Use this temporary password to Sign-In the next time you want to access your account. We recommend that you change your temporary password to a password you will easily remember the next time you need to Sign-In. ........................................... 12. How do I change my password? Once you Sign-In, click on My Account menu and select Change Password menu. You will be asked to enter your current password and your new one. Once satisfied with your changes, click on the Save button. Your new password will be saved and an email notification with your new password will be sent to your email account. ........................................... 13. How do I receive emails from other members? In order to receive emails from other members you need to post an availability for a given activity at a given date, time and location. If you are considered an ActivityMatch for other members, they will have the opportunity to contact you. You will automatically be notified by email of new messages posted to My Messages inbox. There is no spam or unwanted emails. You only get contacted for the things you want, when you want it. ........................................... 14. How do I send emails to other members? In order to send emails to other members they need to post availabilities for a given activity at a given date, time and location that match your search criteria. If they appear as possible ActivityMatch for you, you will have the opportunity to contact them by clicking on the ActivityMatch number in the table, checking the box in front of the ActivityMatch (user) you wish to contact and clicking on the Contact button. An email will appear with the names of the selected ActivityMatch. Upon submission of your email, they will automatically be notified by email of your new message. You can not contact a user unless he/she is available or if you have already exchanged emails. There is no spam or unwanted emails. Members only get contacted for the sports/activities they want, when you want it. ........................................... 15. How do I add someone to My Contacts? Simply click on a user name when displayed and click on the Save Contact button found in the User Profile window. This will automatically add this user to your contacts. Your contacts can be accessed and managed from the Manage Contacts menu under My Messages tab. ........................................... 16. How do I block someone from sending me emails? Once a member emails you and you read his message, next to his name is a [Block User] button. Click on this button and follow the indicated steps. In order to monitor the activities of our members and especially the ones that may cause troubles, we will ask you a couple of questions as to why you are blocking this user. Inappropriate use of this feature could result in a loss of membership privileges. If you wish to manage your list of Blocked Users, go to the Manage Contacts menu under My Messages tab. ........................................... |
